What a Bedlam Game! What Frustration!

The one point, 48-47 victory by Oklahoma over Oklahoma State came down to the final play with OSU
Head Coach Mike Gundy making the gutsy decision to go for two and the victory. Yes, it failed but not his
Cowboys team’s effort.

Oklahoma State was more then a three-touchdown underdog against #6 ranked Oklahoma but the
Pokes met the Sooners point-for-point, taking the lead on several occasions. That final score left OU fans
relieved but frustrated with several rounds of boos when its defense couldn’t make a stop or stops! It left OSU
fans proud of the team’s effort but frustrated at yet another Bedlam defeat.

This hardly seems like a rivalry. That was OU’s 88 th all-time win against OSU –it’s most against one
opponent and the second most in FBS history against one program. Nebraska had 91 wins against Kansas but
the Cornhuskers are now in the Big 10 meaning OU is just four wins away from taking the top spot.
Oklahoma has now won 4 in a row and 14 of the last 16 meetings against Oklahoma State.

Cowboys Head Coach Mike Gundy, the wininngest football coach in school history with 118 wins in
14 seasons is just 2-12 vs his Bedlam Rival with wins in 2011 and 2014. But it’s not just OSU frustrated with
trying to beat OU. The Sooners have also won 31 of its last 33 games against all Big 12 opponents!
